Agricultural Engineer, graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 1972. He holds a Master’s degree in Agronomy with a concentration in Animal Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1976), a PhD in Nutrition from the University of California, Davis, USA (1980), and completed a postdoctoral program in Poultry Nutrition at the University of Georgia, USA.
