She is a veterinarian (MSc and DSc) and has been a researcher at Embrapa Swine and Poultry since 2001. She has experience in preventive veterinary medicine and food safety. She led a project to modernize sanitary inspection applied to swine slaughter in Brazil and is currently involved in a project focused on reducing losses during slaughter.
