The new space will allow visitors to experience everyday farm situations and learn about best practices that strengthen animal health and production safety.
Biosecurity will gain an exclusive and interactive space during the International Animal Protein Fair (SIAVS), promoted by ABPA from August 4th to 6th. With the goal of bringing visitors closer to the challenges and solutions related to sanitary prevention, Biosecurity Experience was developed to transform technical concepts into practical experiences, reinforcing the importance of the daily care taken in animal production.
During the three-day event, the environment will feature different stations, demonstrations, and audiovisual resources that will present fundamental procedures for the protection of production systems, such as farm access control, sanitation, clothing changes, management of sanitary risks, and control of the movement of people and vehicles.
According to Isis Sardella, ABPA's Marketing and Commercial Promotion Manager, the goal is to make the topic more relatable to participants. “The proposal is to show that prevention is present at every stage of animal production. Our aim is to go beyond presenting concepts. We want visitors to experience everyday farm situations and realize how small actions can make a big difference in protecting animal health, food safety, and the sustainability of the activity,” explains Isis.
Along with best practice information, the space will also demonstrate how diseases can be introduced onto a property and what measures are essential to reduce risks and avoid health occurrences.
“Biosecurity is not a set of isolated rules, but a culture of prevention built daily. By bringing the public closer to these practices, we seek to strengthen the understanding that prevention remains the most efficient tool for protecting animals, producers, and the entire production chain,” highlights Isis.
The organization expects Experience Biosafety to consolidate itself as one of the main environments for awareness and learning at SIAVS, bringing together professionals from different segments of animal production around a strategic theme for the future of the sector.
“Biosecurity is one of the pillars that support the competitiveness of Brazilian animal production and directly contributes to market confidence, food safety, and the sustainability of the activity. SIAVS brings together producers, agribusinesses, technicians, researchers, students, and leaders from various countries, which broadens the reach of this message. We want Experience to be a space for learning, awareness, and inspiration for all participants,” concludes the Marketing and Commercial Promotion Manager.
