The event will be held on August 6th, from 9 AM to 12 PM, within SIAVS, Brazil's largest protein production fair, with the participation of leading specialists, companies, and institutions in the sector.
The strength of technical swine farming lands at SIAVS 2026, and the agriNews Brasil group, through suínoBrasil, will bring its expertise and the DNA of excellence from porciFÓRUM to Brazil's largest animal protein event. The technical meeting will bring together specialists, researchers, companies, and professionals from the production chain to discuss the main challenges and advances in the activity. porciFÓRUM will be held on the day August 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
For porciFÓRUM 2026, early registration must be done through the event's official website: https://porciforum.info/brasil/
Powerful technical program on trends and challenges in the pork supply chain
Among the topics on the agenda are global health challenges, the impact of nutrition on the efficiency of production systems, the importance of animal reproduction and robustness, as well as strategies to reduce interventions and increase farm results.
The program includes lectures by heavyweight industry experts, such as Marcelo Lopes, president of the Brazilian Association of Swine Breeders (ABCS), who will give the presentation, “ABCS Data Insights: platform that transforms data into intelligence for Brazilian pig farming”. Lopes will show how the strategic use of data and indicators can support decision-making, expand productive efficiency, and strengthen the competitiveness of the national pig farming chain.
Next, Cesar Garbossa, from FMVZ/USP, will address the topic “Hyperprolificacy, robustness, and sanitary pressure: the role of nutrition in system efficiency”. The lecture highlights how nutritional strategies can contribute to balancing productive performance and system responsiveness in the face of new challenges in pig farming.
Another highlight will be, “Reduction of interventions in pig farming: the practical experience of those in the field”, administered by Isabella Lourenço, Executive Manager of Animal Health at MBRF. The presentation will cover practical experiences focused on reducing interventions on farms, highlighting management and health strategies that contribute to improving productive performance, animal welfare, and the sustainability of production systems.
The event will feature the participation of Magapor, a Spanish company dedicated exclusively to the design, development, manufacturing, and distribution of technology for artificial insemination in pigs and a sponsor of porciFÓRUM 2026. The company will be present with a presentation Efficiency starts at the source: reproduction, uniformity, and robustness throughout the entire chain, conducted by the Dr. Raquel Ausejo Marcos, Swine Reproduction Manager, bringing a technical approach to reproduction, efficiency, and the challenges of the production chain.
The programming continues with the lecture “Precision Diagnosis: How to Stop Medicating in the Dark?”, presented by Carlos Damián Segovia, from CEDISA, which will address the importance of diagnostic tools in decision-making on farms. The topic reinforces one of the main demands of modern swine farming, which prioritizes data observation, monitoring, and precise analysis to guide treatments, reduce unnecessary interventions, and increase the efficiency of production systems.
Next, José Antonio Ribas Junior will present the topic “Less intervention, more results: what's already working in practice?”, bringing an approach focused on strategies that already show results in the field. The lecture aims to highlight paths to optimize production processes, improve indicators, and seek greater balance between performance, animal health, and economic sustainability.
The program's closing will feature Lia Coswig, from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (MAPA), in a presentation “What official sanity demands and what the chain will begin to charge?”. The meeting will address advances and challenges related to sanitary requirements, as well as new demands that impact producers, companies, and the entire pork production chain.
The PorciFORUM 2026 features the Official sponsorship of Magapor, company recognized for its work in swine genetics and reproduction, reinforcing the event's commitment to innovation, technical excellence, and sustainable development of the production chain.
Free registrations, open to SIAVS participants
Participation in porciFÓRUM 2026 is free for participants already registered in SIAVS. Although not mandatory, early registration through the event's official website is recommended to expedite access to the auditorium.
