The event will be held on August 6th, from 9 AM to 12 PM, at SIAVS, the largest protein production fair in Brazil, with the participation of industry specialists, companies, and reference institutions.
The strength of technical swine farming lands at SIAVS 2026, and the agriNews Brasil group, through suínoBrasil, will bring its expertise and the DNA of excellence from porciFÓRUM to Brazil's largest animal protein event. The technical meeting will bring together specialists, researchers, companies, and professionals from the production chain to discuss the main challenges and advances in the activity.
The porciFÓRUM Brazil will be held on August 6th, from 9 AM to 12 PM, in the Celso Furtado Auditorium, during SIAVS 2026, at the Anhembi District, in São Paulo (SP).
• Powerful technical programming on trends and challenges in the swine industry chain
Among the topics on the agenda are global health challenges, the impact of nutrition on the efficiency of production systems, the importance of animal reproduction and robustness, as well as strategies to reduce interventions and increase farm yields.
The program opening will be handled by an official representative from Embrapa Swine and Poultry, to be confirmed, with the presentation “Sanitary Frontiers of Swine Farming: Global Challenges in a Connected World.” The topic gains greater attention based on a scenario of increased global integration, information circulation, and the constant need for improvement in prevention, monitoring, and control systems.
Next, Cesar Augusto Pospissil Garbossa, from FMVZ/USP, will address “Hyperprolificacy, robustness, and sanitary pressure: the role of nutrition in system efficiency.” The talk will highlight how nutritional strategies can contribute to balancing the production performance and the system's response capacity in the face of new challenges in swine farming.
The event will feature the participation of Magapor, a Spanish company exclusively dedicated to the design, development, manufacturing, and distribution of technology for artificial insemination in swine and a sponsor of porciFÓRUM 2026. The company will be present with a presentation on “Efficiency starts at the origin: reproduction, uniformity, and robustness throughout the entire chain,” led by Dr. Raquel Ausejo Marcos, Swine Reproduction Manager, who will offer a technical approach to reproduction, efficiency, and the challenges of the production chain.
The program continues with the lecture “Precision Diagnosis: How to Stop Medicating in the Dark?”, presented by Carlos Damián Segovia, Technical Manager of the Microbiology Department at CEDISA, who will discuss the importance of diagnostic tools in decision-making within farms. The topic reinforces one of the main demands of modern swine farming, which prioritizes data observation, monitoring, and precise analysis to guide treatments, reduce unnecessary interventions, and increase the efficiency of production systems.
Following this, José Antonio Ribas Junior, Executive Director of Agro and CIEX at Seara/JBS, will present the topic “Less intervention, more results: what already works in practice?”, offering an approach focused on strategies that are already yielding results in the field. The presentation aims to highlight ways to optimize production processes, improve indicators, and seek a greater balance between performance, animal health, and economic sustainability.
The lecture “From Research to the Farm: What We Already Know About Reducing Intervention Without Losing Performance” will be led by the technical leadership of a cooperative in Western Paraná, to be confirmed, bridging scientific knowledge with the reality of farms. The discussion reinforces the importance of the practical application of technologies, protocols, and management practices capable of maintaining productivity with greater precision and efficiency.
The program's closing will feature Lia Treptow Coswig, Head of the Swine Health Division at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock's Animal Health Department (MAPA), with a presentation titled “What Official Health Requires and What the Chain Will Start Demanding?”. The meeting will address advances and challenges related to health requirements, as well as new demands impacting producers, companies, and the entire swine production chain.
• Free registration and open to all SIAVS participants
Participation in porciFÓRUM 2026 is free for participants already registered in SIAVS. Although not mandatory, early registration on the event's official website is recommended to expedite access to the auditorium.
For porciFÓRUM 2026, early registration must be done through the event's official website: https://porciforum.info/brasil/
Held within the SIAVS, the meeting consolidates itself as one of the most relevant technical moments in the swine industry program, promoting knowledge, integration, and discussions that contribute to the future of pork protein production in Brazil.
About the porciFÓRUM
porciFÓRUM is an international technical congress dedicated to swine farming. It is well-established in Spain and several Latin American countries. The event brings together producers, veterinarians, researchers, consultants, agribusinesses, and supplier companies to discuss innovation, health, nutrition, reproduction, market, and sustainability in swine production.
