Campinas, Brazil, August 20, 2024 -\u00a0<\/strong>The Aviagen\u00ae Latin America sales and customer service teams\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0welcomed customers and visitors at the International Animal Protein Exhibition (SIAVS 2024), held from August 6 to 8 at Distrito Anhembi in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil. Brazil is the second largest poultry producer in the world, making SIAVS a key event for expanding discussions on the future of poultry production in Latin America.<\/p>\n

SIAVS served as an ideal platform for Aviagen to stand alongside customers and industry colleagues, reinforcing its dedication to the Latin American poultry industry through continuous investments and expansions. Ivan Pupo Lauandos, President of Aviagen Latin America, highlighted the company\u2019s strong presence at the event, which attracted customers from across the region, including Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Colombia and other countries.<\/p>\n

Lauandos also reinforced recent and ongoing investments in securing the supply of Ross\u00ae 308 AP grandparents and parent stock to meet the demands of a rapidly growing chicken meat market. \u201cRoss birds are the best choice for producers in Latin America due to their excellent feed efficiency, growth rate and high viability,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

SIAVS as an opportunity to share knowledge<\/u><\/strong>
\nAviagen remains committed to advancing the poultry industry and took the opportunity to share the latest knowledge during SIAVS.<\/p>\n

Aviagen Senior Veterinarian for Latin America, M\u00e1rio S\u00e9rgio Assayag Junior, spoke on the topic \u201cOrigin and containment of Avian Influenza cases in South America in 2022 and 2023\u201d during an event organized by the Foundation for the Support of Poultry Science and Technology, FACTA. Assayag addressed the importance of updated and consistent biosecurity practices, highlighting the challenges faced by the poultry industry in the region.<\/p>\n

During the IncubaF\u00f3rum session, Marco Aur\u00e9lio Romagnole de Ara\u00fajo, Technical Services Manager for Aviagen in Brazil, discussed the topic \u201cHatchability, variability of results and factors that impose criticality on processes\u201d, offering valuable insights to participants.<\/p>\n

Aviagen celebrates successful partnerships with Grupo Alvorada and Grupo Pluma
\n<\/u><\/strong>On the 7th, still at SIAVS, Aviagen participated in two significant events that highlighted the importance of its partnerships with major players in Brazilian poultry farming: Grupo Alvorada and Grupo Pluma.<\/p>\n

Grupo Alvorada celebrated 50 years of operation. During the event, Aviagen reinforced its commitment, emphasizing the solidity and mutual respect that characterize this partnership. \u201cWe are honored to celebrate this journey and will continue to cultivate this relationship for many years to come,\u201d said Leandro M\u00fcnchen, General Manager of Aviagen in Brazil.<\/p>\n

Aviagen also participated in the celebration of Grupo Pluma\u2019s 25th anniversary. \u201cWe are very proud to walk alongside Grupo Pluma during these first 25 years of activity.
