For Nutribras\u2019 CEO, the event is an opportunity to bring the company closer to new international and domestic clients

\nOne of the major pork producers in the state of Mato Grosso, Nutribras Alimentos S\/A is among the companies participating in the International Animal Protein Exhibition (SIAVS), held from August 6 to 8 at Expo Anhembi, in S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n
SIAVS is the largest event in Brazil\u2019s animal protein industry, bringing together the entire production chain in a single venue.<\/p>\n
The event features more than 100 Brazilian brands from cooperatives producing and exporting poultry, pork, beef, eggs and fish, as well as companies specializing in genetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, inputs and technological solutions.<\/p>\n
The opening ceremony was attended by ministers, three state governors, members of parliament and representatives of the national production chain.<\/p>\n
Together, the pork and poultry sectors are responsible for an annual gross production value exceeding BRL 350 billion and generate more than 10 million direct and indirect jobs. Over the past 30 years, the production chain has also generated BRL 1.5 trillion in export tax revenue.<\/p>\n
Nutribras Alimentos CEO Paulo Cezar Lucion said the event represents an opportunity to strengthen relationships with domestic and international clients expected to attend SIAVS.<\/p>\n
Currently, around 90 percent of the pork produced by the company supplies the domestic market, while the remaining 10 percent is exported. The company\u2019s medium and long term plan is to increase its international share by 20 percent. Nutribras currently exports to countries in South America, Asia and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a great opportunity to expand the buyer markets for our products, whether in the export of cuts or pork offal. We are also looking to strengthen our presence in the domestic market,\u201d Lucion commented.<\/p>\n
SIAVS organizers expect 25,000 visitors over the three days of the event, with 10 percent of the audience made up of rural producers.<\/p>\n
Lucion added that participation in the event is important due to the relevance of the animal protein sector to the country\u2019s economy, job and income generation and regional development.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is strong market demand for good environmental practices, and this is one of Nutribras\u2019 main commitments. We have a self sustainable production model that makes a difference in Brazilian pork production,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The company also stands out for investments made at its plants in Sorriso and Vera through self sustainable production. This year, Nutribras began an expansion process with investments of just over BRL 500 million in the acquisition of new farming areas, aiming to become self sufficient in corn production for pork farming, as it already is in soybean production. By 2026, the company expects to cultivate 35,000 hectares.<\/p>\n
The industry located in Sorriso, Mato Grosso, currently slaughters 2,300 pigs per day. Animal supply comes from the company\u2019s own farms, creating a self sustainable cycle in which waste is sent to biodigesters for biogas production, and the resulting biofertilizer is used in corn and soybean crops that supply the feed mill.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
