\u00a0The country\u2019s largest poultry and pork trade fair will feature a broad program, with the expected presence of President Jair Bolsonaro at the opening ceremony.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

S\u00e3o Paulo, August 8, 2022 \u2014 As the world\u2019s largest producer and exporter of poultry meat and the fourth largest producer and exporter of pork, Brazil will host, starting tomorrow, Tuesday the 9th, the International Poultry and Pork Show SIAVS. Promoted by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association ABPA, the event will take place until next Thursday the 11th at Anhembi Park in S\u00e3o Paulo and is expected to welcome the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, at the opening ceremony.<\/p>\n

In addition to Bolsonaro, the opening ceremony on Tuesday, scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., will be attended by leading authorities from the country\u2019s main producing and exporting states. This reinforces the political relevance of the event and its role as the main forum for debate on the future of the sectors. After the ceremony, President Jair Bolsonaro and ABPA President Ricardo Santin will walk alongside guests through the corridors of the SIAVS trade exhibition.<\/p>\n

Prior to the ceremony, at 9:30 a.m., the opening lecture of SIAVS will be delivered by the Minister of the Environment, Joaquim Leite, addressing the theme \u201cSustainability and Food Production.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the largest trade fair of the poultry, pork, and egg production and export chains in Brazil, SIAVS has already achieved records even before its opening. Organizers have reported growth of more than 30 percent compared to the last edition in 2019, and the exhibition will be twice the size of the 2017 edition. The 2022 edition will therefore feature more than 200 companies and organizations across over 20,000 square meters of exhibition space.<\/span><\/p>\n

All major equipment manufacturers for the sector, genetic companies, laboratories, feed producers, and service providers will participate, along with nearly 50 agroindustrial companies producing poultry, pork, eggs, farmed fish, beef and dairy cattle, as well as buffalo production. SIAVS 2022 is expected to attract purchasing decision makers from slaughterhouses, integrated and independent producers, importers from target markets for Brazilian proteins, wholesale and retail supermarket chains, among other clients.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SIAVS 2022 will also feature the participation of Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econ\u00f4mica Federal. With special credit lines for the agribusiness sector, the financial institutions will bring mobile units stationed within the exhibition area. According to ABPA estimates, more than 20,000 visitors from 50 countries are expected. \u201cThe fair will feature several exclusive attractions focused on encouraging technical development, innovation, and growth of the animal protein sector. Millions of reais in business are expected during the event, marking the return of the largest poultry and pork event. We are highly motivated,\u201d said ABPA President Ricardo Santin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
