{"id":1229,"date":"2022-06-24T10:22:52","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T13:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/siavs.com.br-antigo\/?p=1229"},"modified":"2024-01-26T21:19:01","modified_gmt":"2024-01-27T00:19:01","slug":"clean-energy-will-power-siavs2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siavs.com.br\/en\/energia-limpa-movera-o-siavs2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Clean Energy Will Power #SIAVS2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The energy that will power the International Poultry and Swine Exhibition SIAVS, held from August 9 to 11 at Anhembi Parque in S\u00e3o Paulo, will come from sources with zero CO2 emissions.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is because the Brazilian Animal Protein Association ABPA, organizer of SIAVS, has contracted I-REC, International Renewable Energy Certificates, for the event. I-REC is a global system for tracking the environmental attributes of energy and issues certificates that prove the origin of the renewable energy used. The certificates will be issued by Trix Energia, a participant in this edition of SIAVS.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In practical terms, the traceability certificate confirms that the energy demanded by SIAVS was supplied to the electrical system from renewable sources. Each certificate represents 1 MWh, which in Brazil is equivalent to 60 kilograms of CO2 not emitted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The initial projection indicates that nearly 1.5 tons of CO2, which would otherwise be emitted due to the event\u2019s energy demand, will be offset through this system.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe contracting of energy from renewable sources follows the purpose assumed by SIAVS in this edition, including through its main theme, \u2018sustainable production: pathways to global food security\u2019. This means that we do not want to focus only on messages, but on decisions that generate real impact.
