Trends and challenges for the future guide the ABCS Symposium at SIAVS 2024

The Brazilian Association of Swine Producers (ABCS) will be present at SIAVS, considered the largest event of the production chains in Brazil. The event brings together the swine, poultry, cattle and fish sectors in a single major gathering, promoting a meeting of specialists, innovators and leaders from the agribusiness sector. SIAVS will take place from August 6 to 8 at Anhembi Park, São Paulo.

ABCS President Marcelo Lopes explains that SIAVS is organized by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), an important entity for the sector and a partner of ABCS in efforts to open new markets and promote the value of pork. “It is a pleasure for us to be part of this initiative,” he highlights.

The ABCS Symposium is scheduled for the first day of the event, August 6, and will address three essential topics in separate sessions: “Brazilian Agribusiness in Global Production and Consumption”, “Lessons Learned and Challenges in Addressing Concurrent Immunosuppressive Diseases” and “Perspectives and Challenges for Agribusiness Involving the Main Links of the Chain, from Farm to Consumer”.

ABCS Technical Director Charli Ludtke highlights that the symposium was designed to discuss key issues for swine production, ranging from the positioning of Brazilian agribusiness in the global scenario and sustainability from national and international perspectives, to future challenges and outlooks. “The event will feature renowned professionals who will debate relevant topics related to exports, the Asian market, consumer relations and the importance of sustainability in the swine production chain and food security. It will be a valuable opportunity, and everyone is invited to attend,” she concludes.
