São Paulo, April 1, 2024 – Registration is now open for the ABPA Merit Award for Applied Research, an initiative promoted by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) during the International Animal Protein Show (SIAVS), which will take place from August 6 to 8 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo.
In this edition, the scientific recognition will select papers exclusively from undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at Brazilian universities.
Research projects related to the following areas may be submitted: Production, Management and Housing; Nutrition; Technology, Processes and Public Health; Animal Health; and Environmental Sustainability in poultry, swine, beef cattle and farmed fish production.
The papers will be evaluated by a judging committee composed of academics and professionals from the agribusiness production chain, based on criteria such as applicability to the production chain and other factors.
As recognition for dedication and excellence, the best paper will receive airfare and accommodation to take part in an international initiative organized by ABPA at one of the world’s largest food trade shows, either Gulfood in the United Arab Emirates or SIAL Paris in France, according to the researcher’s choice. The main authors of the second and third best papers will receive awards as an incentive to continue their research and scientific studies.
Submissions will be accepted until May 31. To participate, applicants must be registered for the SIAVS lecture program. The rules for submission and presentation of papers, as well as additional information, are available at https://siavs.com.br/trabalho-cientifico/
