Brazil, the United States and China, along with a representative of an international organization, present views on global trade
São Paulo, June 11, 2024. Representatives of major global animal protein producers will take part in a panel discussing the future of the international production chain during the International Animal Protein Show, SIAVS, the largest event in the sector in Brazil, scheduled to take place from August 6 to 8 at the Anhembi District in São Paulo.
Titled “Global players’ perspectives on animal protein,” the panel will bring together Greg Tyler, President of the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council, USAPEEC, along with Madame Yu Lu, President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Foodstuffs and Native Produce, CFNA, and Nicoló Cinotti, Secretary General of the International Poultry Council, IPC.
Moderated by Luís Rua, Director of Markets at the Brazilian Animal Protein Association, ABPA, the debate will feature different market approaches that will outline perspectives on the paths the animal protein industry is expected to follow in the future.
“This is a debate with complementary views promoted by representatives of two of the world’s largest producers of poultry and pork, in addition to a representative of the highest global poultry body, the International Poultry Council. Moreover, China is the world’s largest importer of poultry and pork proteins. The expectation is that we will have a high level discussion, considering all links in the chain, from production to international trade. We hope to engage in dialogue with the shared purpose of ensuring global food security,” Rua explains.
