Brazil’s leading poultry and pork event is free of charge and includes a trade fair and a congress
Matrix Energia, an integrated energy solutions platform that offers a complete ecosystem with customized clean and renewable energy options, will take part in the International Poultry and Swine Week (SIAVS) 2024, to be held from August 6 to 8 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo. The biennial event is expected to welcome 20,000 participants. In addition to presenting its energy solutions and highlighting the importance of its products and services for the animal protein sector, the company will certify all electricity consumption of the event with the International Renewable Energy Certificate, the I REC Certificate.
Matrix Energia will participate as an exhibitor with a 216 square meter stand, where visitors will be able to learn more about the Free Energy Market, Distributed Generation and BESS, the latest battery energy storage system offered by Matrix Energia. These solutions provide alternatives that can optimize operations in the animal protein sector, transforming energy management with efficiency, sustainability and cost savings.
All energy consumed during the three days of the event will be certified by Matrix Energia. The I REC Certificate plays a crucial role in ensuring that the electricity consumed comes from renewable sources, reflecting the environmental commitment of both the company and the event organizers. The certificate also represents a commitment to reducing harmful gas emissions and plays a key role in the transition to more sustainable energy sources.
Matrix Energia’s participation in SIAVS 2024 will also include the presence of the company’s commercial director, Alexandre Gomes, as a speaker in two sessions during the event. On August 6, 2024, at 4:30 pm, the spokesperson will present the company and highlight the solutions offered by Matrix Energia for all sectors of Brazilian agribusiness. On August 8, 2024, at 3:00 pm, Alexandre will present in detail all the benefits of BESS as a renewable energy source.
Founded in 2014 as an energy trading company, Matrix has stood out in Brazil for its commitment to sustainability and innovation, driving the country’s energy transition with a focus on renewable generation. Since 2018, the company has operated as an integrated platform, offering a complete range of energy solutions for clients of different sizes and voltage levels. Matrix promotes savings, efficiency and sustainability through the Free Energy Market, Distributed Generation and Energy Efficiency solutions.
Visitors to the Matrix stand at SIAVS 2024 will have the opportunity to learn more about BESS, a system that uses batteries to store electricity directly from the distribution grid, providing greater flexibility in energy management and mitigating risks of supply interruptions due to power outages. This solution is especially effective for sectors such as poultry, pork and cattle production, which are heavily impacted by power failures.
The digital platform integrated with BESS provides clients with real time visibility of energy performance, detailed reports and continuous technical support. This allows full control over energy operations, ensuring greater efficiency and reliability. “We are excited to offer BESS to the Brazilian market as an alternative for the animal protein sector. We pay close attention to this segment, which faces high energy costs in its operations. In partnership with Huawei Digital Power, we offer an accessible, high quality solution that not only improves energy efficiency but also increases energy availability for our clients and strengthens producers’ commitment to sustainability,” says Alexandre Gomes.
The project was recently implemented at Cofril Alimento, one of the leading food companies in the state of Espírito Santo, which took a significant step by installing two BESS containers with a total capacity of 2 MW of power and 4 MWh. As a result, the company achieved a significant reduction in energy costs by combining the Free Energy Market with BESS storage potential, while also reducing the use of diesel generators and prioritizing a cleaner and more efficient system, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental impact reduction.
Matrix Energia’s participation in SIAVS 2024, Brazil’s main poultry and pork event, highlights its innovative role in the energy industry. The company delivers solutions that not only promote cost savings, but also increase productivity and sustainable practices.
Celebrating a decade of energy excellence, Matrix is a digital energy platform that offers a complete ecosystem of customized clean and renewable energy solutions. These solutions, used individually or combined, serve all types of clients, from residential to commercial, from low to high voltage, with the goal of maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. As the second largest retail energy trader in Brazil by consumption volume and holder of a brA rating assigned by S&P Global Ratings, both achieved in 2023, the joint venture between the Swiss group Duferco and Prisma Capital consolidates its reputation for reliability and financial strength. Matrix operates in the Free Energy Market for Group A consumers, high voltage, supporting migration from the regulated to the free market and cost reduction through efficiency; in Distributed Generation for Group B consumers, low voltage, playing a key role in advancing this model in Brazil since 2022 by supplying solar energy in exchange for credits; and in energy storage and efficiency solutions through Energy as a Service, its newest business unit, aiming to become a one stop energy shop.
