International image and market access are key topics at SIAVS 2024

Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and ApexBrasil join ABPA, ABIEC and Peixe BR to discuss the internationalization of Brazilian animal protein.

São Paulo, July 23, 2024. Leaders from the public and private sectors will present perspectives on Brazil’s international image and access to global markets during a debate to be held at the International Animal Protein Show SIAVS 2024, scheduled from August 6 to 8 at the Anhembi District in São Paulo.

Participation in the panel has already been confirmed by the Deputy Secretary for Trade and International Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture, Júlio César Ramos, and the Agribusiness Manager at the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ApexBrasil, Laudemir Muller. They will be joined by the President of the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association ABIEC, Antônio Jorge Camardelli, and the President of the Brazilian Fish Farming Association PeixeBR, Francisco Medeiros.

The panel will be moderated by the Market Director of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association ABPA, Luís Rua. Discussions will address government level initiatives to strengthen the positive perception of Brazilian agribusiness, as well as the planning of joint strategies and actions with sector organizations.

Along the same lines, leaders of protein sector entities will present their perspectives and strategies to reinforce Brazil’s image as a major global supplier of animal proteins.

“The debate reflects the Brazilian working model in which public and private sectors act in alignment to expand exports of Brazilian agribusiness products, while at the same time strengthening the attributes of our animal proteins,” highlights Rua.
