Crisis Management Is the Theme of a Symposium at #SIAVS2022

Preventive and contingency actions for crisis situations will be discussed during a symposium to be held at the International Poultry and Swine Show SIAVS, the largest poultry and swine event in Brazil, which will take place from August 9 to 11 at Anhembi Parque in São Paulo SP.

Scheduled for the entire morning of the third day of SIAVS, the symposium will be moderated by Marcelo Osório, Director of Institutional Relations at the Brazilian Animal Protein Association ABPA, and will provide a broad approach to key points of attention for preventing sector wide crises, as well as strategies to mitigate such scenarios from multiple perspectives.

In the second stage, Hugo Souza, CEO of São Salvador Alimentos, will highlight technological challenges for preserving production capacity in the face of potential crises; and consultant and veterinarian Nelva Grando will detail the development of private prevention plans focused on sanitary crises.

“Under the precautionary principle, the production sector prioritizes among its pillars sustainability and human management focused on transparency and integrity, as well as the prevention of crisis situations across different aspects. In this sense, the symposium will focus on distinct technical perspectives, integrating points whose main objective is the preservation of the production chain,” says Ricardo Santin, President of ABPA, the association organizing SIAVS.
