ABIEC leads joint initiative with sector agroindustries; other companies will exhibit with their own booths
São Paulo, April 17, 2024 – Twelve of Brazil’s largest beef exporting companies have already confirmed their participation, and additional companies are expected to join the International Animal Protein Show (SIAVS), the largest industry event in Brazil. The event will take place from August 6 to 8 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo.
Two beef exporters, JBS Friboi and Marfrig, have already confirmed their participation with their own booths at SIAVS.
At the same time, the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC) will host an exclusive space for beef exporters within SIAVS. Nine companies have confirmed their participation: Cooperfrigu, Frigol, Astra, Iguatemi, Naturafrig, Frigosul, Zanchetta, Agra and Barra Mansa.
In another shared exhibition area of the event, Frigoestrela will be present in the pavilion dedicated to pork agroindustries.
In total, around 70 agroindustries producing and exporting poultry, pork and beef, as well as eggs and farmed fish, have confirmed their participation in SIAVS. They will be joined by more than 200 supplier companies from Brazil’s animal protein production chain, including equipment, genetics, feed, laboratories and other segments.
As the main business hub for the production chains in Brazil, SIAVS is expected to welcome more than 20,000 visitors from Brazil and over 50 other countries, including importers from dozens of strategic markets and clients from Brazil’s retail and wholesale sectors.
“The strong confirmation of beef processing companies reinforces the new profile of SIAVS, which is consolidating itself as a major platform for business, technical development and political and economic debates within these sectors, which have generated more than BRL 1.2 trillion for the country over two decades of exports,” says Ricardo Santin, President of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA).
