Compliance and corporate integrity are the focus of a panel at SIAVS

During the event, companies and the Global Compact will debate the importance of compliance programs and corporate transparency

São Paulo, July 8, 2024. An event marked by the strong presence of major corporations and cooperatives, the International Animal Protein Show, SIAVS, the largest event in the sector in Brazil, scheduled to take place from August 6 to 8 at the Anhembi District in São Paulo, will feature a panel focused on a topic that has become a decisive part of organizations’ daily operations: compliance programs and corporate transparency.

Scheduled for the second day of the event, August 7, the Governance Panel will bring together renowned experts from some of the largest animal protein corporations in Brazil and worldwide. Participants include José Marcelo Martins Proença, Compliance Director at JBS, and Reynaldo Goto, Compliance Director at BRF.

As mentors of the integrity program developed for the Brazilian Animal Protein Association, ABPA, the organization responsible for SIAVS, Proença and Goto will address key aspects of the program and discuss strategies for embedding a culture of integrity within organizations, regardless of their size or corporate governance model.

Following this, Ana Paula Carracedo, Chief Customer Officer at Aegea and Advisory Board Member for Collective Actions at the United Nations Global Compact Brazil Network, will discuss elements of the program and the development of a corporate integrity culture within the Global Compact Brazil Network, of which ABPA is a member.

“We will host a panel focused on encouraging governance and integrity practices aligned with the demands of sustainable corporate management, as well as ways to promote these practices within organizations,” says José Perboyre, panel moderator and Commercial Director of SIAVS.
