Competitiveness and logistics will be debated at SIAVS Congress 2026

Logistics efficiency is one of the factors that most influence the competitiveness of Brazilian animal protein in national and international markets. Transportation costs, infrastructure, port capacity, and integration between modes directly impact the capacity for export expansion and domestic market supply. To discuss these challenges, the SIAVS Congress 2026 will promote a panel dedicated to the perspectives of Brazilian logistics and its impact on the animal protein supply chain.

O Competitiveness and Logistics Dashboard will be held at August 5th (Wednesday), from 2 PM to 4 PM, in Room 112/113, bringing together experts with extensive experience in infrastructure, economics, and transportation to analyze the country's current bottlenecks and paths to expand logistical efficiency.

With moderation of Luís Rua, Director of Markets at ABPA, the program will open at 2 PM with the talk “Infrastructure and Competitiveness of Brazilian Agribusiness”, administered by Luiz Antônio Pagot, former Director-General of DNIT and logistics infrastructure specialist. The presentation will discuss the role of investments in highways, railways, waterways, and ports in strengthening the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness.

Next, at 2:45 PM, Adriano Chalegh, yes Infra Inc., will present the topic “National Logistics Planning and Modal Integration”, addressing initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of the Brazilian transportation system and the integration among different logistics modalities, an essential factor for reducing costs and increasing export competitiveness.

The panel will be closed with a debate among the speakers, providing participants with the opportunity to deepen the discussion on the main logistical challenges faced by the sector and the measures necessary to increase the competitiveness of Brazilian animal protein in an increasingly dynamic international scenario.

Aimed at executives, exporters, logistics managers, industry professionals, researchers, and public sector representatives, the panel will offer a strategic overview of one of the main themes for the future of the animal protein supply chain: Brazil's ability to transform productive efficiency into competitive advantage through modern and integrated logistics infrastructure.
