Registration is now open for the ABPA Applicable Research Merit Award, a scientific competition promoted by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) during the International Poultry and Swine Exhibition SIAVS, the largest poultry and swine event in Brazil, held from August 9 to 11 at Anhembi Parque in São Paulo.
Under its new name, the ABPA Applicable Research Merit Award will accept research with practical applicability in the areas of production, management and environment, nutrition, technology, processes and public health, animal health, and sustainability.
The submission deadline is May 13, and entries can be sent via email to: artigos@abpa-br.org
After submission, the papers will be evaluated by a judging committee. Accepted papers will be presented during SIAVS.
The first author of the winning paper will travel with ABPA to experience one of the world’s largest food fairs, choosing between SIAL Paris 2022 in October or Gulfood Dubai 2023 in February of next year.
“Our goal is to encourage research that goes beyond academia and has practical application for the competitiveness of Brazil’s poultry and swine sectors. Academia is the stage for sectoral innovation, and the ABPA Applicable Research Merit Award focuses on delivering this to the sector and the country,”highlights ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
