An economist graduated from FAAP in 1987, he is a rural producer and has led several organizations related to agribusiness. He served as President of the Association of Rubber Producers of the State of Mato Grosso and as Vice President of the São Paulo State Association of the sector. He is currently Vice President of COSAG.
