She holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, a PhD in Animal Physiology from the University of São Paulo, a postdoctoral degree in Animal Science and Muscle Physiology from the University of São Paulo, and a postdoctoral degree in Poultry Science from the University of California, UC Davis.
