ABPA and ApexBrasil Promote International Image Initiative During SIAVS

Dozens of foreign journalists will be on a mission in Brazil between August 9 and 11 through an initiative organized by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ApexBrasil during the International Poultry and Swine Show SIAVS in São Paulo.

Called the Image Project, the initiative has confirmed the participation of around 30 journalists from strategic markets for Brazilian animal protein, including countries from the European Union, the Americas, Asia and Africa.

The program will include presentations about the production sector, participation in specific SIAVS lectures such as the CEOs panel with agribusiness leaders, and visits to facilities of companies in the sector. The agenda will also feature gastronomic experiences in the city of São Paulo, offering an immersion into Brazilian cuisine.

Topics addressed in the presentations will include production data, quality and sustainability issues, as well as challenges faced by the sector as a global player in food supply.

“The Image Project is one of our most relevant image platforms, aimed at reinforcing Brazil’s position against barriers to food trade and at demystifying issues that distort the image of the production chain, among other points. Through transparency and information, we want to strengthen among importing nations the values that guide Brazilian animal protein production,” says ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
