ABPA and ApexBrasil Enable the Participation of Importers at #SIAVS2022

Importers from strategic markets for Brazilian animal protein will take part in an initiative organized by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association ABPA and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ApexBrasil during the International Poultry and Swine Show SIAVS, the largest event for the sectors in the country, which will be held from August 9 to 11 at Anhembi Park in São Paulo.

As part of SIAVS Multiproteins, which brings together not only poultry and swine producers but also beef, dairy, and farmed fish producers, this year’s Buyer Project has already confirmed the participation of poultry, swine, and egg importers from South Africa, South Korea, Denmark, the United States, the Philippines, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Qatar, the Dominican Republic, and Thailand.

Now in its fifth edition at SIAVS, the initiative will include business meetings with more than 40 poultry, swine, and egg producing and exporting agribusiness companies exhibiting at the SIAVS trade fair. Immersion activities are also planned to introduce buyers to the Brazilian production chain through interactions at the SIAVS Experience, a multisensory space within the exhibition that presents videos and information on sector sustainability.

“With this Buyer Project, we want to go beyond business generation. SIAVS brings together the entire production chain in a single space, so there is no better opportunity to present the differentiators that make Brazil one of the leading global players in food supply,” says Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA.

Organized by ABPA, SIAVS is the main meeting point for Brazil’s poultry and swine sectors and will be even larger than its previous edition held in 2019. Its exhibition area has been expanded by 30 percent, adding new annexes to the space traditionally occupied by the fair. The sale of exhibition spaces is already nearly complete.

In addition to business opportunities, SIAVS will host the largest technical congress in the sector, featuring an extensive program and more than 100 speakers from Brazil and other countries. The political relevance of the event is another distinguishing factor, with authorities from the national and state executive and legislative branches expected to attend, further strengthening the event’s role as the main forum for debate on the future of the sectors.

In 2019, the event welcomed more than 20 thousand visitors from 50 countries and featured over 170 exhibitors. Across dozens of congress rooms, more than 100 speakers from Brazil and abroad presented to 2,400 attendees. Learn more at www.siavs.com.br.
